Our Story
My name is Petra, and I am the founder and face behind Afriluxe RTW.
I was born and raised in Nigeria, where African fashion is part of everyday life. After moving to Canada two years ago, I noticed something unexpected many of the African outfits I owned no longer felt practical or comfortable for daily wear in my new environment. They were beautiful, but they didn’t always fit seamlessly into everyday life in Canada.
Afriluxe RTW was created to bridge that gap.
I wanted to design African outfits that allow women to stay connected to their roots while fitting effortlessly into their daily routines whether that’s running errands, attending casual gatherings, or styling pieces for work and social events.
